Job Title : Program / Portfolio Manager (Contract to Hire)
Location : Columbus, OH (Remote Mondays & Fridays, Onsite Tuesdays–Thursdays)
Contract Length : 11 / 03 / 2025 – 03 / 03 / 2026 (Contract-to-Hire)
Pay Rate : $90–$100 / hour (W-2 Only)
Conversion Salary Range : $135,000–$150,000
Eligibility : U.S. Citizens Only – No Visa Sponsorships
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Program / Portfolio Manager to lead large-scale enterprise programs across cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations within the utility industry. This role will oversee multi-million-dollar portfolios, drive cross-functional collaboration, and align initiatives with enterprise risk and transformation priorities. The ideal candidate brings deep experience across Agile / Waterfall methodologies, hands-on leadership, and the ability to manage both strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategy, planning, and execution of enterprise-wide programs across operations, cybersecurity, and infrastructure
- Manage multi-year, $5M–$10M+ programs with complex cost structures and business impact
- Coordinate and track delivery of program initiatives using Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methods
- Collaborate with executive sponsors, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams across IT and the business
- Oversee portfolio health, resource capacity planning, financials, and risk mitigation
- Drive program-level governance, compliance, and audit readiness in alignment with cybersecurity frameworks
- Leverage tools like ServiceNow PPM, JIRA, Power BI, and MS Project for reporting and visibility
- Build and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor program health and strategic alignment
- Champion continuous improvement through retrospectives, feedback loops, and process refinement
- Contribute to multi-year roadmaps supporting grid reliability, technology modernization, and operational excellence
Qualifications
8+ years’ experience managing enterprise programs / portfoliosProven experience delivering $5M–$10M+ projects spanning IT and business domains3–5 years of leadership experience (direct or indirect) across cross-functional teamsStrong expertise in Agile, Waterfall, SDLC, and hybrid methodologiesFamiliarity with cybersecurity, utilities, and infrastructure environmentsHands-on leader comfortable driving execution and leading teams through ambiguityExpertise in tools such as ServiceNow PPM, JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, MS ProjectStrong business process analysis and change management experienceBachelor’s degree required; PMP, SAFe, or similar certifications a plus
