General Summary :
Our client is seeking a Vice President, Business Development who will be a strategic partner to the Corporate Senior Vice President, Business Development, and the Business Unit Senior Vice President / P&L Leader in developing and executing the company’s mission and strategy. This Business Development position provides senior leadership in the areas of strategic growth, organizational leadership, talent development, pipeline management, proposal management, capture leadership, and business development organization and process. This role requires a high-energy, respected leader well versed in government contracting and capable of leading, defending, and growing the company’s logistics and sustainment business unit.
- Responsibilities : Development and implementation of the successful growth strategy across base operations support, contingency and expeditionary support, integrated supply chain, asset management, etc.
- Lead the BD organization consisting of Proposal Managers, Proposal Production Staff, Capture Managers, and Estimators.
- Execution of Full Life Cycle Pursuit and Strategic Pricing Strategy.
- Organizational leadership leading to an integrated, high performing BD organization.
- Ability to win re-competes at 90%+ target.
- Identification and development of professional Business Development and Proposal talent.
- Development and management of business and contract proposals.
- Ability to lead proposal efforts that generate numerous multi-million-dollar government services proposals in any given calendar year.
- Efficient and accurate Pipeline Management – US Federal services.
- Successful collaboration with Operations and BD Leadership.
- Development and sustainment of strategic relations with key customers, competitors, and teammates.
- Ability to infuse digital technology to drive efficiencies and business growth.
- Effective and current competitive intelligence.
Qualifications : Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of experience leading US Federal services growth efforts including strategic planning, proposal management, business development, and capture leadership. This includes leading large, complex capture efforts and proposals leading to winning new business.
Experience developing and leading a sizeable BD organization consisting of Proposal Production, Capture, Proposal Operations, and Estimators.Intimate familiarity with FAR based procurements.Extensive experience with DoS and DoD procurement methods and proposal requirements.Experience with JVs, Partnership Agreements, LLCs, and M&A activities a plus.Demonstrated experience conducting and facilitating proposal value proposition and capture strategy meetings.Knowledgeable with fixed price bidding and complex based estimates.Experience leveraging data to inform business strategy using data analytics, ML, or AI.Team leadership and management experience.Prior success in growing a Federal Services business combining successful retention of base, execution of key take-away opportunities, and progressive engagement with key customers.Experience in strategy development and execution leading to key market penetration and growth in key market share.Ability to drive improvement and growth while maintaining margins and cost objectives.#J-18808-Ljbffr
