About The Role :

Gen3 seeks an Information Security Engineer to support UNICOR’s mission of maintaining the security, confidentiality, and integrity of systems operated by Federal Prison Industries. This technical role has a strong focus on vulnerability management and risk communication . The engineer will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and reporting vulnerabilities across the network environment and effectively communicating risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Location : Remote

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct vulnerability management activities across enterprise systems.
• Develop and deliver presentations on vulnerability and risk status to system owners and stakeholders.
• Clearly communicate identified risks and recommended mitigation strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage and utilize security tools, including SIEM platforms, to perform continuous monitoring and security scanning.
• Maintain documentation of vulnerabilities, remediation progress, and system risk posture.
• Support compliance with RMF and other federal cybersecurity frameworks by maintaining data within CSAM or other approved systems of record.
