As a Baker at ilili, you will focus on creating exceptional bread offerings for the restaurant each and every day.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned daily
- Prepare and produce designated items follow recipes and yield guides to maintain high standards of product
- Scaling of recipes appropriately. Prepare bread as needed
- Prepare, clean, and maintain bread area and ingredients for proper use in the kitchen
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge about bread ingredients and art
- Participate in research and development of bread offerings throughout the year
- Communicate with other team members and management regarding food items and orders.
- Promptly reports to management any quality or quantity issues of the product
- Train new Bakers (as needed) on delivering excellent service while maintaining standard shift responsibilities noted above; such training to occur on-the-job with new Bakers shadowing you as you perform your key responsibilities
- Assist fellow team members as needed to ensure seamless customer experience
As a member of our team you should have :
A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment in a similar roleCulinary degree with a concentration in Bread preferred, but not requiredAccurate knife skills, the ability to read and follow recipes, and in-depth understanding of sanitation regulationsAbility to communicate clearly with Managers, kitchen team, and FOH staffAbility to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach for up to 9 hours and up to 25 lbsProven track record of dependability and a passion for hospitalityFlexible availability : weekends, nights, and holiday availability is a must!As a member of our team you can expect :
