Now Hiring Middle School Cross Country/Track Coaches! Are you a teacher or educator experienced in coaching youth? Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is seeking coaches for middle school cross country and track and field teams. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for coaches to share their expertise, make a meaningful impact on student-athletes' development, and advance their coaching careers.
Season Details: - The Cross Country season will run from Sept 12- Oct 29th, 2024. (No practice October 31st)
- The Track and Field season will run late late February to early May 2025 .
- Practices will take place at BSD Middle School campuses on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Scheduling: Staff are typically scheduled 3 to 8 hours per week; between the end of the school day for two hours throughout the week. There will be meet days along with a district meet at the end of the season which will be longer days.
THPRD is hiring for multiple part-time variable positions, hours may vary and are based on program need. Part-time variable (PT) employees work an average of less than 20 hours per week and may work less than 1,560 hours on an annual basis. Position Classifications (click hyperlinked job title to view expanded descriptions): - : No teaching experience required, must love working with people of all ages and abilities; be able to work inside and outside; and be at least 16 years of age.
- : Must have at least 1-year of experience in leading and instructing general classes and be at least 16 years of age.
- Must have over 1-year of experience and specialized training in the assigned program area; and be 18 years of age.
- : This is an advanced level position. Candidates must have over 2 years of experience and specialized training equivalent to four years of college in the assigned program area; and be 18 years of age.
