Openwork is currently assisting a local client in their search for a part time Office Administrator in Concord, NC. We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and available to work flexible part time hours. The starting pay will depend on work experience, between $20-$25 hourly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily office administration duties including correspondence, postage, mail delivery, answering phone
calls, and greeting customers and vendors
Perform weekly payroll time card entry and payroll processing
Compute and remit payroll taxes, and provide quarterly summary reporting
Perform daily accounts payable vendor invoice entry and process weekly payments
Compute and remit monthly sales and use taxes
Candidate must be strong in math and have general accounting knowledge
Candidate reports directly to corporate Controller
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma
Minimum 3 years experience in general office administration and general accounting
Proficient understanding of payroll processing, payroll tax payment remittance, payroll wage quarterly
reporting, and accounts payable
Proficient use of all Microsoft Office software suite
Candidate must be strong in math, self-motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree with concentration in business management, accounting or similar
Proficient use of Adobe Acrobat software and Bluebeam Revu
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Individual office with personal computer, phone, desk, and related items required to perform tasks
Average 24-30 hour work week
CERTIFICATONS / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS
Notary public – preferred
