Job Title : Drafter / Designer Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Design Engineer with a leading manufacturer of fabricated retail displays, fixtures, themed environments, and hospitality furnishings. This role involves collaboration with the Engineering team to complete fabrication and assembly drawings, offering an opportunity to work on a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models utilizing Inventor.
• Develop fabrication and assembly drawings for manufacturing personnel.
• Generate BOMs (bill of materials) and update drawings from redlines or mark-ups.
• Dissect product sketches / renderings into individual parts to create detailed drawings.
• Update and modify pre-existing drawings.
• Collaborate with production personnel to ensure accurate and correct assembly of products.

Work Environment

The role primarily involves working in an office setting alongside the engineering staff, with occasional visits to the plant floor during assembly to ensure product specifications are met. The Engineering team consists of six other engineers / designers, offering a collaborative and engaging work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46 / hr.
