Journeyman Plumber

Overview

We are seeking a Journeyman Plumber to join our facilities team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems across educational facilities. This role is critical in ensuring a safe, sanitary, and fully functional environment for students, teachers, and staff.

Pay : $30.00-$32.00 / hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and / or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Key Responsibilities :

• Plumbing System Maintenance & Repair

Inspect, diagnose, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, drains, water heaters, boilers, restrooms, and kitchen fixtures.

Install and replace plumbing fixtures, faucets, valves, and piping in classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, and gymnasium facilities.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of plumbing systems and minimize emergency repairs.

Respond quickly to plumbing emergencies such as water leaks, sewer backups, and low water pressure issues that may disrupt school operations.

Work closely with school administrators, custodial teams, and maintenance staff to coordinate plumbing projects and minimize disruption to learning activities.
