SUMMARY
We are looking for someone to join our team as the Quality and Education Coordinator (RN) at Andrews Institute ASC. This position will support the organization’s mission and values by actively participating in the assessment, development, and execution of quality improvement and educational initiatives. Ensures compliance with all quality and education requirements as outlined by accrediting agencies and applicable state and federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Regulatory
Stay current on state / federal laws and accreditation standards.
Submit regulatory and compliance reports promptly.
Review and recommend policy and procedure changes to meet evolving requirements.
Assist with preparation of licensing and AAAHC accreditation applications.
Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
Contribute to the development and implementation of the performance-improvement program.
Submit and monitor patient satisfaction data; analyze trends with leadership.
Perform monthly chart audits and assist with monthly / quarterly quality reporting.
Maintain and update quality-related policies and documentation.
Coordinate and communicate performance improvement activities.
Assist in reviewing grievances and identify improvement strategies.
Track quality indicators, set evaluation benchmarks, and recommend program updates.
Maintain confidential performance improvement records.
Education Coordination
Manage HealthStream platform and ensure staff compliance with required education.
Ensure all employees maintain current licenses and certifications.
Review monthly education and certification status reports.
Stay current on regulatory education requirements.
Organize and assist with facility drills and training exercises.
Infection Control
Implement policies on infection prevention, surveillance, and control.
Track infections / exposures and compile quarterly reports for Quality Committee and Governing Board.
Collaborate with departments to address problem areas and reduce infection risks.
Educate staff on infection control protocols and coordinate TB testing.
Complete 30- and 90-day infection reports.
Analyze infection patterns and trends and report findings as needed.
Required
1. RN degree
2. BLS / ACLS / PALS
6. Strong ethical and moral character references
7. Language skills adequate for high-level written and interpersonal communication
