Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time, Pain Management & PM&R)
Burbank, CA | Premier Pain Management & PM&R Practice
We are a Premier Pain Management and PM&R practice seeking a California-licensed Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our upbeat, dynamic team! Our multidisciplinary approach combines non-pharmacological treatments (PT, psychology, acupuncture), interventional procedures (spinal, joint, nerve injections, neuromodulation, RFA, etc.), and pain medications.
We do not prescribe high-dosage opioids.
This is a part-time role (3 days / week) with the opportunity for full-time in the near future .
Compensation : $68.00 $100.00 / hour (DOE)
Responsibilities
Conduct histories & physical exams related to pain, spine, and musculoskeletal medicineEvaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic pain conditionsManage patients in outpatient clinic and occasional inpatient / SNF consultsOrder & interpret diagnostic tests and labsPrescribe medications and initiate non-pharmacological treatmentsEducate and counsel patients & families on pain management optionsCoordinate care and facilitate referrals as neededAdhere to safe patient management and prescribing protocolsCollaborate closely with physicians and specialistsQualifications
Licensed PA or NP in California with clean recordDEA license (or ability to obtain)Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skillsExperience in pain medicine, PM&R, primary care, SNF, or hospital / ER settingsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environmentStrong patient rapport-building and service mindsetPreferred Experience
Familiarity with diagnosing & treating acute / chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditionsExperience with trigger point and basic joint injectionsKnowledge of interventional pain procedures (epidurals, nerve blocks, RFA, neuromodulation, Botox for migraines, etc.)Understanding of prescribing safety protocols, especially with comorbiditiesFamiliarity with prior authorization and utilization review guidelines (PPO, Workers Comp, etc.)Comfort with diagnostic studies (imaging, EMG, lab work, urine drug toxicology)Willingness to rotate between Burbank clinic and SNF consults in Pasadena & East San Fernando ValleyMulti-lingual skillsWhy Join Us
