Job Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repair of all equipment within the building and all building maintenance functions in a safe and efficient manner.

- Experience Required : 3 to 5 years
- Education Desired : High school diploma or equivalent
- Lifting Requirement : Up to 50 pounds
Job Responsibilities
- Repair and perform preventive maintenance on machinery. Use mechanical and electrical equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Visually inspect and test machinery and powered equipment using electronic testing equipment and hand tools.
- Listen and observe operation of machines and equipment to detect malfunctions and diagnose problems.
- Install, program and repair automated machinery and equipment.
- Design and fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools, improving existing efficiencies.
- Maintain and repair distribution center building and grounds using hand and power tools, hoists and cranes.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other machine parts using pressure washer, brushes, grease gun and gear lubricant dispenser.
- Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
- Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Assemble, install and maintain pipe system and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Maintain a safe, clean work area.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, wire schematics and technical manuals.
- Maintain detailed summary sheets of tasks performed with regard to preventive maintenance, diagnoses of problems and repairs performed on equipment.
- Attain at least a B+ grade and perform work on ammonia system.
- Maintain current HAZMAT training and resp. fit testing.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as needed and assigned.
