POSITION : Director of Admissions
FLSA STATUS : EXEMPT
JOB SUMMARY : The Director of Admissions is responsible for coordinating all inquiries, referrals, and admissions to the Health Center. Functions as contact point for all parties involved prior to and including day of admission in order to maintain consistency in communication, accuracy of information and timeliness of admissions.

Requirements : JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
Knowledge and 5-year experience with long term admissions, referrals, & process.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Experience leading a team preferred.
Ability to provide cooking demonstration and have some knowledge of par levels and cost controls.
Ability to work within a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services as essential to success in this role.
Must be a problem solver, ready to come up with on-the-spot solutions for problems that may occur in the kitchen.
Ability to direct a team to ensure the kitchen always runs smoothly.
Capability of auditing the presentation of food for quality, appearance and process followed safe food handling techniques.
Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with residents and guests.
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors, and team members.
Language Ability :
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, speaking the primary language of the residents.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Cognitive Demands :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills :
Ability to use Microsoft Windows, including Word and Excel. Ability to use email and the Internet.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS : The physical activities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking, and standing functions. The position also often involves sedentary work where sitting is required most of the time, with occasional standing or walking. The position also often requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Must be able to perform activities with close visual acuity, such as reading a computer screen and reading print material. The functions of this position are conducted in a temperature-controlled environment.
INTELLECTUAL / EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS : The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure. The position requires adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. This position requires the ability to deal with and find resolution to problems and maintain a productive working relationship with team members and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others. It also requires adaptability to fluctuate between priorities daily while being responsive to needs as they arise.
OSHA Category Classification :
Category III : Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, and Category I tasks are not a condition of employment.
The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids.
