Summary : This position will be responsible for leading the Foundation's efforts to secure significant financial support through planned giving for the current and long-term viability of the institution. The Foundation's Planned Giving Program includes strategic initiatives to educate, cultivate and solicit a wide array of prospects toward multi-million-dollar gifts. This position will ensure success by developing a strong communication-marketing plan (overseeing an external vendor for appropriate planned gift marketing materials) to appropriate planned giving prospects and donors. This position will collaborate closely with internal legal and financial leadership, as well as a network of external financial planners, attorneys, and high net worth individuals to ensure planned gifts are handled appropriately. This position will serve as the expert on planned gift matters and will train colleagues within the Foundation on securing planned gifts. The Director will also interface regularly with board members, major donors and volunteers in order to achieve success toward the planned giving goals. The Director may manage a team, will oversee a significant budget for executing on these strategies, and be responsible for securing multi-million-dollar planned gifts each year. The Director will report to the Associate Vice President, Development and will also partner with Foundation leadership on planning several events each year.

How You'll Be Successful :
WORK EXPERIENCE At least 10 years related management experience required. Estate law planning, financial planning or related experience required. Development industry experience preferred. Related experience working in the legal profession preferred. EDUCATION Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience preferred.
