Senior Director

STV is seeking a Senior Director to support the Southeast Cities Initiative under Advisory Services, serving clients at the state, regional, and local level.

Our growing team seeks a self-motivated professional with a passion for supporting elected and agency leadership as well as internal staff mentoring. We value diverse management and intergovernmental experience, including previous elected or appointed leadership, strategic planning, federal and / or local policy development, organizational training, community of practice building, stakeholder engagement, and new market assessments. If you have completed specialized technical or management training, we wish to leverage these unique skill sets.

The candidate will report to the Vice President, National Cities Initiative Leader and will support the goal of maximizing decision maker relationships in relevant markets in the southeast to both solidify STV as a sought-out advisor and identify growth opportunities.

The successful candidate will have proven experience not only working with states, cities, counties, MPOs, and special purpose authorities / districts but also establishing themselves as a trusted advisor to both elected and agency leaders. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of infrastructure planning process, experience managing complex projects, and a commitment to creating equitable and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities include :

• Assisting in positioning STV as a trusted advisor to support states, cities, counties, MPOs, and special purpose authorities / districts in the cultivating of innovative and effective solutions to improve infrastructure, transportation, and organizational resilience.
• Providing strategic thought leadership to STV regional teams on local prioritization efforts, decision maker engagement, and future pursuits.
• Coordinating internal technical assistance / training of STV regional teams and other relevant staff in policy development, elected / agency leadership engagement and strategic planning.
• Creating a community of practice amongst relevant clients that allows for shared experiences, solutions, and actionable steps for improvements in transportation.
• Providing local client support on workplace culture, leadership development, staff reorganization, intergovernmental partnership, project prioritization, and other relevant issues.
• Identifying and tracking key conferences and events that strategically align with related service development. Developing strategy, structure, and content in preparation of engagement with major decision makers.
• Advising internal leadership on new business in the state / local market and collaborating in the development of strategies to ensure successful growth.

Qualifications :

Compensation Range : $127,400.42 - $169,867.22
