Key Responsibilities :
As a CMA at PrimeCare, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive primary care services to our patients. Your duties will include :
Patient assessments : Conducting initial assessments, including obtaining patient histories, vital signs, and relevant medical information.Clinical support : Assisting the healthcare provider during patient exams, procedures, and treatments.Patient education : Explaining medical procedures and treatment plans to patients, answering questions, and offering health-related guidance.Medication administration : Administering prescribed medications and injections, under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner.Lab work : Collecting specimens for lab tests, processing orders, and maintaining lab results.Electronic medical records (EMR) : Documenting patient information accurately and efficiently in the EMR system. EPIC experience is a plus!Coordination of care : Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.Patient follow-up : Contacting patients to schedule appointments, follow up on test results, and check in on their health status.Administrative support : Managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a smooth clinical environment.Requirements :
Current certification or licensure : Ohio CMA certification is required.Excellent communication skills : Must be able to interact effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.Attention to detail : Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.Experience in primary care : Previous experience in a clinical setting, especially in primary care, is preferred but not required.At PrimeCare, we are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and creating a supportive and rewarding environment for our team members.
