Java AWS Engineer

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Java AWS Engineer in Plano TX

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable and secure backend services using frameworks like Spring Boot

Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices.

Ensure efficient data flow and build stream processing applications using Apache Kafka.

Utilize data serialization formats such as Avro and JSON.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services.

Skills Required

Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, multi-threading, testing, and operational stability

Solid understanding of agile methodologies and engineering discipline such as CI / CD, BDD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Strong proficiency in frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.

Strong proficiency in Infrastructure provisioning using Terraform

Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).

Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS), containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI / CD pipelines.

In-depth knowledge of Apache Kafka's architecture, configuration, and best practices.

Data Serialization Formats : Familiarity with formats like Avro and JSON.

Strong communication skills and leadership experience.

Developer or Solutions Architect Level AWS Certification.

Experience with Observability tools like Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, or Grafana.

Experience with distributed databases such as AWS RDS databases.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have :

Experience with React or any front-end UI development.

Willingness to learn React for potential future projects.
