Job Description
Our client, located in Princeton, NJ, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bilingual Administrative Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in social services or community-based programs which will be utilized to support residents seeking assistance from Human Services and Affordable Housing Departments.
- Only candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish will be considered for this role.
This is a full-time, temporary position
Pay Rate : $27 / hr
Schedule : Monday through Friday, 9 : 00AM – 5 : 00PM. Availability to work occasional weekends and evenings is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide courteous and professional customer service to residents in person, over the phone, and via email.Assist residents with applications for social service programs, including General Assistance, SNAP, Medicaid, and other local state programs.Support affordable housing application processes, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of all documents.Assist with the coordination and implementation of department initiatives such as the annual Holiday Gift Drive, Community Needs Assessment, and other community-based programs.Maintain accurate and organized records, data entry, and document filing.Collaborate with staff across departments and external partners to ensure efficient service delivery.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills and Qualifications :
Availability to work occasional weekends and evenings is required for this role.3 years of administrative experience.3 years of social services or community-based programs experience.Proficiency in MS Office Suite.Bilingual in English and Spanish required.Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Previous experience in an office or administrative role, preferably in a service or construction-related industry.
