Summary / Objective

The Information Systems Manager is responsible for supporting the Director of Information Systems in the oversight of the Credit Union’s daily operations.

This role is responsible for planning, designing and directing all IS-related activities of the Credit Union, as well as providing administrative direction and support for daily operational activities for the Information Systems Department.

  • Assist in the supervision of the Network, Systems, Core, Applications and Operations teams, providing guidance and support to insure optimal uptime and services
  • Collaborates with the Network, Systems and Application teams to continuously monitor and strengthen the security posture of the Credit Union
  • Work with other operational areas to streamline tasks, resulting in greater efficiencies
  • Provide support for third party relationships and integrations
  • Maintain well documented procedures to support all operations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Work environment

The Information Systems Manager will be required to maintain regular office hours, with some flexibility to work remote as mutually agreed upon.

Flexible to work nights and weekends when necessary.

Physical demands

This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time. It may also require standing, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 25 pounds), kneeling, crouching, reaching, talking and hearing.

Travel required

Will periodically be required to travel to other Credit Union locations and branches, as well as agreed upon conferences and training.

Required education and experience

Two years of experience supporting network, security and IT operations

Preferred education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field preferred
  • Five or more years of firewall management experience
  • Five or more years of IT security experience

Additional eligibility requirements

Periodically required to work outside of normal business hours.
