Job Summary : The Product Marketing Manager - Commercial and Industrial will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies for Sol-Ark’s C&I product portfolio. This role will focus on crafting compelling unique value propositions (UVPs), creating sales and customer presentations, defining product positioning, generating marketing collateral, leading marketing campaigns, and conducting competitive comparisons tailored to the C&I vertical. A key emphasis will be on relaying solution-oriented information and summarizing financial benefits, including ROI, cashflows, and IRR metrics, to demonstrate value for commercial and industrial customers. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for renewable energy and a proven ability to translate technical product features and financial impacts into business-centric messaging.
Key Responsibilities :
Product Positioning and UVP Development : Create and refine clear, compelling unique value propositions (UVPs) for Sol-Ark’s C&I products, including hybrid inverters, energy storage systems, cloud monitoring software, SaaS platforms, mobile apps, and balance of systems components, with an emphasis on scalable solutions and financial benefits like ROI, cashflows, and IRR.Competitive Comparisons and Positioning : Analyze competitor products and strategies to develop competitive comparisons, highlighting Sol-Ark’s advantages and differentiating features in the C&I solar market to strengthen product positioning.Sales and Customer Presentations : Develop high-impact presentations for sales teams and customers, showcasing product benefits, technical advantages, competitive differentiators, solution integrations, and financial impact analysis tailored to C&I audiences.Marketing Collateral Generation : Produce engaging marketing materials, including marketecture, datasheets, whitepapers, case studies, and digital content, that relay solution details and quantify financial benefits to support sales efforts and customer decision-making.Marketing Campaigns : Plan, execute, and measure multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive awareness, demand, and adoption of Sol-Ark’s C&I products, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, with a focus on highlighting financial and operational efficiencies.Market Research and Insights : Conduct competitive analysis, market research, and customer feedback studies to inform product positioning and identify opportunities for differentiation in the C&I solar market, including financial modeling and value analysis.Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with product management, engineering, sales, and customer success teams to align marketing strategies with product roadmaps, solution architectures, and customer financial needs.Brand Advocacy : Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all marketing touchpoints, including websites, social media, trade shows, and industry events.Performance Tracking : Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and collateral, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and achieve KPIs, including metrics related to financial impact and customer acquisition.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Finance, or a related field; MBA or technical background in renewable energy is beneficial.3+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the renewable energy, power electronics, energy generation / transmission sectors with a focus on C&I applications.Strong understanding of key components of C&I solar products, including hybrid inverters, energy storage, and software solutions (cloud monitoring, SaaS, mobile apps).Proven ability to develop UVPs, product positioning, competitive comparisons, and customer-facing marketing materials, with experience in financial analysis (e.g., ROI, cashflows, IRR).Experience creating and executing successful marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, tailored to business audiences.Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts and financial metrics into clear, business-focused messaging.Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, Google Analytics) and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva), and financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel).Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive marketing decisions, measure campaign performance, and quantify financial benefits.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Passion for clean energy and a commitment to advancing sustainable solutions for businesses.Preferred Skills :
Knowledge of balance of systems components (e.g., switch gear, OCP) and their role in C&I solar systems.Experience working with SaaS platforms, mobile apps, or cloud-based fleet monitoring, API integrations in energy and electrical distribution settings.Familiarity with the C&I solar market, including trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, and financial evaluation methods (e.g., ROI, cashflows, IRR).Background in financial analysis or consulting for energy projects.Benefits :
