Job descriptionBachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or related work experience. Five years or more experience designing and implementing comprehensive network solutions using Avaya, Cisco, or Extreme Products. Training / familiarity with Nortel and Cisco architecture and design practices. Training and / or Industry recognized certifications with designing, maintaining and interconnecting wide area networks. Firm understanding of the OSI model. Three to seven (3-7) years of experience in a large, complex network environment using Avaya / Nortel 86xx, 55xx, 25xx, Cisco Nexus (7000, 55xx and 2xxx) and Cisco 65xx, 45xx, 3xxx series switches. Demonstrated experience and strong fundamental knowledge working with the IP packet capture tools such as Solarwinds, Netscout, Infinsteam, etc. Five to 10 years of proven success of the above job description responsibilities with experience in support of a multi-location enterprise-wide area network, preferred. Hands-on experience with the above listed solutions, preferred. Overview
The Network Data Center Engineer provides support for data center LANs, WAN connections, and application performance troubleshooting. This individual is responsible for delivery of new functionality, day-to-day operations, and participating in break / fix activities supporting the Enterprise HFHS Networks.
