Salary : $25 per hour minimum.
- Compensation for this position will be commensurate to the chosen candidate's experience and credentials.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join our network operations team and support the reliable performance and security of our clients critical infrastructure. The NOC Technician serves as the frontline responderresponsible for real-time monitoring, issue triage, and escalation to ensure incidents are addressed quickly and effectively. In this role, you will also assist with troubleshooting and routine maintenance while collaborating with NOC Engineers, field teams, and management to uphold service-level agreements (SLAs) and maintain the integrity of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and related infrastructure.
This position is based at Integral Blues Auburn Hills, Michigan office Monday through Friday. Two shifts are available :
AM Shift : 5 : 00 a.m. 2 : 00 p.m. (1-hour lunch)PM Shift : 12 : 00 p.m. 9 : 00 p.m. (1-hour lunch)Applicants may note their preferred shift, and assignments will be made with business needs in mind. Real-Time Monitoring & Threat Detection : Perform real-time monitoring of ITS infrastructure, including traffic management systems, field devices, communication links (including fiber optic, wireless, cable, and cellular networks), cameras, sensors, and communication equipment. Utilize monitoring tools to detect performance issues, equipment failures, or security threats.Incident Response : Respond to alarms, incidents, and service requests promptly, following standard operating procedures (SOPs).Troubleshooting : Perform initial troubleshooting and triage of network and device issues to determine severity and root cause.Escalate Issues. Escalate issues to higher-level engineers or external vendors when problems exceed defined troubleshooting scope.System Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance tasks, system checks, log reviews, and patch verification.Ticketing & Documentation : Accurately log, categorize, and update network and device issues using ticketing systems.Communication. Provide timely status updates to internal teams, management, and external stakeholders as required.Change Management Support : Follow established change management processes when assisting with system updates or modifications to minimize service disruption.Compliance. Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures by monitoring for suspicious activity, escalating potential threats, and protecting sensitive information.Collaboration : Work closely with NOC engineers, field personnel, and management to support network operations and deliver excellent service to clients.Qualifications Required :
Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Telecommunications, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience;Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;Good organizational skills and attention to detail;Excellent technical writing skills; andStrong customer service orientation and interpersonal communication skills.Qualifications Desired but Not Required :
Certifications in networking, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Alcatel, SolarWinds, ISC2, BISCI, FOA, AWS, Microsoft Azure).Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer;Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed;Ability to work outdoors and near vehicle traffic when required; andAbility to move, carry, and climb ladders at various heights.Travel Requirements :
