Job Summary :
The Maintenance Mechanic Level 2 is responsible for intermediate-level mechanical tasks, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, conducting preventive maintenance, and assisting with the installation of new machinery and equipment. Employees at this level should work semi-independently, requiring minimal supervision.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
None; may occasionally guide Level 1 mechanics.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make appropriate repairs under supervision or independently as skills advance.
- Assist with installation and alignment of mechanical equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Ability to troubleshoot and repair common mechanical systems and components.Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and scheduling.Capable of using basic diagnostic tools and precision measurement instruments.Proficient at interpreting technical documents, blueprints, and equipment manuals.Organized and some computer skills required.Must be able to read and communicate in English to understand technical documents, safety procedures, and instructions relevant to job duties. English proficiency is required due to operational and safety communication needs.Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent.At least 2 years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience.Physical Requirements :
Ability to frequently stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and maneuver in confined spaces.Regularly lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50-75 pounds.Must possess manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient for handling small components, precision tools, and complex equipment safely.Capable of working safely at elevated heights and on elevated platforms.Ability to perform duties in varied environmental conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures (hot or cold), humidity, noise, vibrations, dust, fumes, and other industrial hazards.Ability to work on your feet and walk for long periods during the shift.Comfortable using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with safety standards, such as hard hats, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, ear protection, and harnesses for fall protection.Benefits :
