DESCRIPTION

The Wound Ostomy Nurse will provide services to inpatients, families, and the healthcare team.
Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomous, consistent with ANA Standards of Practice. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. Ensures optimal level of practice by assuming responsibility for self-development in life-long learning.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
RN license issued by the State of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Five (5+) or more years relevant experience to include Wound and Ostomy experience.
A minimum of three (3) years recent RN experience.
Proficient with information systems and computer programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication skills.
Skills and ability to prioritize.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN).
Two (2+) or more years of experience in wound and ostomy care.
Related nursing specialty certification (e.g. OMS, WCC, CWOCN).

Annual Full Pay Range : $132,600 - $259,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent : $63.51 - $124.43
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
