About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Medical Officer to lead the development and sustainability of a culture of quality, safety, and high reliability. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the vision and agenda for clinical outcomes improvement, resource utilization, and patient-centered care coordination. This role requires a strategic and operational physician executive who can manage the creation, updating, and implementation of quality and safety standards to ensure consistency and reduce inappropriate variation. The Chief Medical Officer will also serve as a change agent, enterprise champion, and will be a key member of the executive team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Candidates for the Chief Medical Officer position at the company must be board-certified in a medical specialty, with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a general practitioner and a graduate of an accredited medical school. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in physician leadership, contemporary clinical process improvement, and a strong understanding of medical staff organization and regulations. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of clinical practice experience, be adept at strategic planning, budgeting, and management, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Responsibilities also include supporting medical staff in self-governance, ensuring compliance with standards, and partnering in physician recruitment and satisfaction programs.
