Description :

• Jefferson County is looking to hire either an Associate or Civil Engineer based on qualifications

The successful Associate Civil Engineer applicant will work in the Capital Improvements Program (CIP) group of Jefferson County Transportation & Engineering Division, and is responsible for performing engineering activities and construction management related to CIP projects involving roadway, bridge, stormwater drainage, and traffic operations projects. SCHEDULE :

This position operates on a typical 8-hour five-day work week (Monday-Friday). This position is in person, with field work and in-office work as needed. This position requires over 70% field work and under 30% office work. The successful candidate must have the ability to drive to various job site locations throughout unincorporated Jefferson County, walk over uneven terrain in a variety of weather conditions, and compare existing site conditions with construction plans.

Associate Civil Engineer

Full Salary Range : $75,761.10 - $121,217.77

Target hiring Range : $75,761.10 - $98,489.43

Experience : One year of experience in civil engineering, roadway construction, or related field.

Education : Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.

License / Certifications : Engineer-In-Training (EIT) / Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) at time of hire.

Civil Engineer :

Full Salary Range : $88,367.75 - $141,388.40

Target hiring Range : $88,367.75 - $114,878.07

Experience : Three years of experience in civil engineering, roadway construction, or related field.

Education : Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.

License / Certifications : Professional Engineer (PE) License at time of hire.
