American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist experienced in Transthoracic, Transesophageal, and Cardiac Stress Echocardiography with ARDMS or CCI registration and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Primarily hospital-based setting with floating to different campus locations as neededAverage of 10 cardiac ultrasound patients seen per dayProcedures include Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiography, as well as Cardiac Stress testingUtilizes GE and Philips Echo machines, EPIC for charting, and CPACs for image managementDay shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, four 10-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends every 4-5th weekendOn-call required : one call shift Monday through Friday plus weekend rotationCandidates must be willing to float between facilitiesResponsibilities include performing diagnostic non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams using ultrasound equipment as per established protocolsDuties include administering imaging enhancement agents and documenting findings in EpicCandidates are responsible for preparing and instructing patients for procedures to ensure optimal results and reduce anxietyStudy guides will be provided for EKG testing on the first dayAdherence to infection control and patient confidentiality standards is requiredExpect to collaborate with referring physicians for clarification on exam ordersCandidates are required to follow designated dress code or scrub requirementsFirst-time travelers will be considered for this assignment\n \n Requirements\n
ARDMS or CCI-registered Cardiac Sonographer requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredAssociate degree in applied health science, cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography, or related field preferredOne year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer preferredPediatric cardiac sonography certification preferredFamiliarity with GE and Philips ultrasound equipment and Epic EMR is strongly preferredMust pass an EKG test on the first day of assignment, with two attempts allowedMust live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rateLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
