Overview

Cyber Systems Security Test Engineer Stf – Job opportunity at Jobs via Dice

In this role, you will be part of the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, engineering, developing, and integrating cybersecurity capabilities for the Missile Defense System. The team operates as part of a larger organization but within smaller, agile groups in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities including Sensor / Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and advancing missile defense technologies.

The Work

  • Collaborating with Cyber Engineering : Work closely with Cyber stakeholders to integrate and test cybersecurity solutions on the C2BMC system at HWY-83.
  • Coordinating and facilitating test events : Work with the Cyber Test Facility (CTF) at MIDOC to integrate and test Cyber Patch and Cyber Tools solutions.
  • Supporting Cyber teams : Write concise test steps and other technical documentation to facilitate delivery of capabilities and cyber solutions.
  • Vulnerability Management : Focus on vulnerability management, including analysis and remediation of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVMs), Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs), Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), Vendor Patches, and STIG configurations.
  • Travel and on-site work : Role is full-time onsite with approximately 20% travel to Schriever Space Force Base and >

5% travel to customer sites across the U.S.

Your experience with cybersecurity platforms and your ability to engage with agile teams will be essential. You are well-versed in Group Policy Management and view cybersecurity as an ongoing effort to improve systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 9 years of related professional experience or Master's degree with 7 years of related professional experience.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • DoD 8570 certification IAT - Level II (e.g., Sec+ or higher)
  • Approximately 20% travel to customer sites across the U.S.
  • Strong understanding of RMF and interpretation of requirements including success criteria.
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems : RHEL (Linux), Windows 10 / Servers, RBAC
  • Working knowledge of Cyber capabilities such as patch management, GPO management, remediation techniques for cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Experience with test planning, test case development, test execution, and test reporting
  • Experience with Cyber Tools software applications (e.g., ACAS, HBSS, ArcSight, Endgame, CyberArk, ICAP, MFA, UserLock, BitLocker, WSUS, Satellite, BigFix) or equivalent
  • Understanding of software development life cycles and testing processes
  • Note : One or more staffing contributors may recruit for the same open position; if selected, Lockheed Martin intends to employ the most qualified candidate.
  • Desired Skills

  • In-Depth Knowledge of GPOs for access control and security posture improvement
  • Aggressive development experience within the System Development Lifecycle; Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agilist experience is a plus
  • NIST SP 800-53 Security Controls experience within RMF
  • Linux system administration experience with Red Hat Satellite and Capsules
  • Windows system administration experience with WSUS
  • Automated test expertise
