About the Company
This company develops, owns, and operates renewable energy facilities that convert high-strength organic waste from industrial food and beverage producers into renewable natural gas, clean water, and soil amendments. The platform is well-capitalized by a leading energy-transition investment firm and is entering a multi-project construction phase with several facilities currently in operation and additional sites in active development.
The Opportunity
This is a hands‑on finance leadership position responsible for accounting operations, FP&A, and financial reporting across both corporate and project entities. The role will oversee a lean, high-performing team and serve as the financial steward of a fast-growing renewable infrastructure platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations for a growing portfolio of wastewater‑to‑energy construction projects.
- Ensure accurate project cost tracking, cash‑flow visibility, and forecasting of spend to completion.
- Manage monthly and quarterly reporting across corporate and project entities.
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting discipline.
FP&A & Strategic Planning
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and enterprise modeling in partnership with the FP&A team.Provide forward‑looking financial insights supporting a 3–5‑year construction ramp‑up (targeting up to five new facilities per year ).Evaluate and model Investment Tax Credit (ITC) implications for new projects.Oversee :Accounting Manager – manages outsourced bookkeeping and back‑office operations.Senior Finance Associate – owns FP&A and the enterprise financial model.Build scalable processes, reporting structures, and accountability across the finance function.Candidate Profile – Must‑Haves
10–15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally beginning in public accounting (CPA preferred) .Strong command of both accounting operations and FP&A , with experience managing small teams.Proven ability to develop process rigor and drive timely, accurate reporting.Hands‑on operator comfortable in a fast‑growing, entrepreneurial environment.Excellent communication skills and executive presence.Preferred Background
Experience in construction, utilities, infrastructure, or renewable energy .Exposure to ITC‑eligible or project‑finance environments.Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and build scalable processes.Seniority level
