Job Summary
This role involves performing Computed Tomography (CT) scans to produce cross-sectional images for physician use in diagnosing and treating patients.
Schedule : Saturday and Sunday Nights
Minimum Qualifications
- Education : Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Licenses / Certifications :
Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required; andRegistered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB(CT)) in computed tomography or one of the following along with documented training for diagnostic CT exams :Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) or
Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) orCertified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).Experience / Knowledge / Skills :
Preferred : Minimum of one year of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist or two years as a Radiological Technologist with CT education or experience.Physical ability to lift and maneuver patients as needed.Principal Accountabilities
Perform CT scans : Prepare patients, explain procedures, administer contrast, position patients for scans, select imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality.Enter and monitor patient data.Conduct quality assurance on CT equipment and may aid in the initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditations.Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to management.Take emergency calls and may be required to work weekends or float to other locations as necessary.Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies and standards.Promote professional growth and development by meeting continuing education requirements and serving as a mentor for less experienced staff.Demonstrate commitment to caring for all community members by fostering compassionate and personalized experiences, reflecting Memorial Hermann's service standards through efficient patient care.Other duties as assigned.
