Job Summary

This role involves performing Computed Tomography (CT) scans to produce cross-sectional images for physician use in diagnosing and treating patients.

Schedule : Saturday and Sunday Nights

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education : Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Licenses / Certifications :

Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.

  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required; and
  • Registered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB(CT)) in computed tomography or one of the following along with documented training for diagnostic CT exams :

    • Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) or

  • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or
  • Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

    • Experience / Knowledge / Skills :

  • Preferred : Minimum of one year of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist or two years as a Radiological Technologist with CT education or experience.
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver patients as needed.

    • Principal Accountabilities

  • Perform CT scans : Prepare patients, explain procedures, administer contrast, position patients for scans, select imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality.
  • Enter and monitor patient data.
  • Conduct quality assurance on CT equipment and may aid in the initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditations.
  • Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to management.
  • Take emergency calls and may be required to work weekends or float to other locations as necessary.
  • Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies and standards.
  • Promote professional growth and development by meeting continuing education requirements and serving as a mentor for less experienced staff.
  • Demonstrate commitment to caring for all community members by fostering compassionate and personalized experiences, reflecting Memorial Hermann's service standards through efficient patient care.
