Sushi by Bou is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to support operations across our regional markets. This role includes training and developing chefs, maintaining culinary and operational standards, supporting new openings and events, and working hands-on behind the counter.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and supervise Sushi Chefs and Prep Chefs
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment; achieve 5-star feedback from staff in quarterly reviews
- Train staff on food safety and hygiene; hold a valid Food Safety Manager Certificate and ensure all chefs have current Food Handler Certificates
- Ensure quality and portion control, manage inventory, and maintain menu item availability
- Collaborate with management to maintain food costs within monthly targets
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen in full compliance with health regulations
- Work based on a 5 days week with at least 3 shifts behind the counter a week
- Being able to work as a head chef in one of our venues simultaneously
- Willing to travel
- Work in events and helping new openings
- Have a valid drivers license
