Payroll Analyst
Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to join our Dallas-based Shared Services team. The ideal candidate will have advanced payroll experience supporting multi-state, high-volume payroll processing in Dayforce. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing across multiple hotel properties while maintaining strict compliance, data integrity, and continuous process improvement within the payroll function.
This is a Monday through Friday, on-site position based out of the Corporate Office in Dallas, Texas.
Responsibilities include :
- Proactively collaborate with hotel property Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll data submission in Dayforce.
- Process payroll for multiple properties including wages, tips, benefits, garnishments, supplemental runs, and final pay.
- Review and validate time and attendance data in Dayforce WFM prior to payroll submission, ensuring alignment with pay policies.
- Enter and maintain confidential garnishment orders and documentation in Dayforce.
- Research, analyze, and resolve payroll discrepancies; identify trends and propose improvements.
- Enforce Omni payroll standards and ensure properties follow consistent payroll procedures.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and wage & hour laws.
- Generate, validate, and reconcile payroll reports within Dayforce; coordinate corrections with appropriate stakeholders.
- Administer and support payroll pay card program.
- Perform payroll reconciliations (hours, earnings, deductions, taxes) between Dayforce Time & Attendance and Dayforce Payroll.
- Support internal audit requests and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Shared Services.
- Monitor and support W-2 processing and year-end validation tasks in Dayforce.
- Review and monitor 7i exemptions, ensuring compliance and proper usage.
- Review, reconcile, and validate IRS Form 8027 data for properties reporting allocated tips.
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax activities, including verifying employer state unemployment and SUI rates.
- Perform additional payroll duties or system-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications include :
3-5 years of multi-state payroll experience in a corporate or hospitality environment.Experience processing payroll in Dayforce (Ceridian) highly preferred.Hospitality payroll experience, including union and non-union environments, strongly preferred.FPC or CPP certification preferred, not required.Demonstrated proficiency in Dayforce reporting, pay policy configuration awareness, and payroll auditing.Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills required.Bachelor's degree preferred.Omni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity employer - vets / disability.
