Job description

Job Title

This position is responsible for strategically partnering with mid-level leaders and their Playmakers on all aspects of the talent cycle. This partnership is focused on helping the business plan for growth and proactively address barriers that may get in the way of growth while ensuring the team is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with mid-level business leaders to identify and address business opportunities that are related to the talent cycle (headcount planning, talent acquisition, individual or team performance, development opportunities, team engagement, compensation needs, etc.). Influence leadership in decision-making processes related to people to support the overall success of the business.(50%)
  • Collaborate with HR centers of excellence to identify trends and / or specific business needs that influence strategic HR design and initiative rollout and timing. Inform / consult with subject matter experts on given topics (e.g. compliance, Associate relations, compensation, talent acquisition, OD, training, etc.) to help address challenges impacting business performance.(30%)
  • Engages with Associates within assigned areas to ensure onboarding and cultural assimilation with the team is a positive experience. Serves as unbiased partner to listen to any Associate concerns or areas of opportunity that can then be surfaced with leadership on the best ways to address. (10%)
  • Partner with centers of excellence to deliver topical training (leadership development, compliance, culture, engagement, etc.) to Associate populations. Be the first point of contact for the business around delivered training content to address questions, concerns or specific follow up around skill application. (10%)

Critical Skills & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Related Area (Equivalent years of experience acceptable)
  • SHRM-SPHR or CP Certification
  • 4+ Years Progressive experience in HR roles within a fast-paced organization
  • Using economic, financial, market, and industry data to understand and improve business results; using one's understanding of major business functions, industry trends, and own organization's position to contribute to effective business strategies and tactics.
  • Identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish credibility and rapport with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that helps them understand and retain the message.
  • Proficient knowledge of adult development, learning, and performance improvement principles.
  • Proficient knowledge of U.S. labor laws and specific state laws.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office programs; specifically Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
