Under the direction of the Estimator / Manager, the Estimating Intern is responsible for the successful assembly and completion of fabrication and / or installation estimates.

Qualifications

• Education : Currently enrolled in a construction management, architectural engineering, or mechanical engineering program preferred or the knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED.
• Years of Relevant Work Experience : 1+ years of experience in a fabrication environment preferred.
• Certificates / Licenses : Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record.
• Physical Job Requirements : Required to sit, stand and move throughout Company facilities. Must be able to perform job responsibilities in an industrial, fabrication site, and general environment around heavy machinery and equipment.

Estimating Career Progression

Intern → Estimator → Senior Estimator → Chief Estimator

This is the progression through the various levels of estimating. Employees become eligible for promotion when they demonstrate consistent, reliable, and successful performance of their defined duties independently.
