Fairfax Mental Health and Wellness (FMHW) provides therapeutic, medication management and psychological and neuropsychological testing services to the Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Maryland community. FMHW treats patients as young as 4 years of age through age 65. FMHW offers in-office as well as telehealth appointments for therapy and psychiatric care. In addition to neuropsychological and psychological assessments, FMHW performs psychoeducational, forensic and pre-surgical evaluations.

FMHW was founded by Dr. Jennifer Shore in 2013 and is a proudly woman-owned and woman-led business.

• Fairfax Mental Health and Wellness, Inc. is seeking a passionate and dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team. As a full-time member of our staff, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children and adolescents in need of mental health support.
• Job Overview :
• As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric care to children and adolescents, as well as adults when necessary. You will also be expected to provide supervision and guidance to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners on your team. Your expertise and compassion will play a crucial role in helping our clients achieve optimal mental wellness.
• Responsibilities :
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for children and adolescents
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide ongoing medication management
• Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including fellow Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, Counselors and Social Workers
• Supervise and mentor Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners
• Stay up to date on current research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry
• Requirements :
• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Active state medical license
• Willingness to provide in-person appointments in addition to telehealth
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality care

Salary Range : $240,000 to $270,000 per year
