Safety Consultant

Summary

As a Safety Consultant at APS, you will :

• Provide management support in developing, implementing and evaluating programs, procedures and processes to assure personnel and facility safety and / or regulatory compliance. Conduct trend analysis, audits, investigations, and site inspections of operational procedures, facility design, equipment, materials and employee behaviors.
• Analyze data in compliance with current regulations and make appropriate recommendations to prevent new or recurring accidents.
• Develop and / or conduct employee training, emergency preparedness and QA programs.
• Evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases, new and modified processes and complex non-routine work.
• May act as project lead on medium to large projects.
• Serve as a consultant to Management and employees to minimize industrial injury, property damage, environmental exposure, and company liability.
• This position may require emphasis on industrial safety, emergency preparedness (fire, medical, etc.), industrial hygiene technology, and / or behavioral science.
