Role :

We are looking to hire a Head of Development to support the development team in its pursuit of a portfolio of greenfield transmission-connected energy storage development projects. This individual will be responsible for ‘leading from behind’ by making sure that the team is properly equipped in terms of resources and training in order to achieve the company’s most important objective of bringing the portfolio from greenfield inception to NTP, at which point a handoff will occur to the EPC organization to bring the portfolio to NTP. This individual will be the backstop solution provider for all complex project issues in the functional areas of land acquisition and permitting, and will be required to step in to provide solutions where necessary in the areas of off-take agreement negotiation and interconnection agreement execution. Additional responsibilities :

• Project development : assisting and mentoring team to manage a project pipeline and execute on complex milestone deliverables across a network of stakeholders.
• Project management : assisting and mentoring team to problem solve nuanced site, permit, and technology issues with internal experts and external stakeholders.
• Project finance : assist and mentor team to understand the key financing elements of a project and ensure that all projects and deals continue to meet or exceed financial hurdles.
• Contract execution : provide solutions and execution assistance to team members as they bring supporting contract through execution to ensure all terms are financeable.
• Commercial negotiation : support development teams to negotiate terms and conditions of power purchase agreements, permitting documents, interconnection or other ISO agreements to protect the commercial sensitivities of each deal. Also, support the financing of each new deal.
• Deal execution : providing oversight and support in closing and financing each new deal.
