Material Handler

Join our team as a Material Handler in our warehouse receiving position, where you will be responsible for the handling of incoming products, ingredients, and packaging materials. You will play a crucial role in checking inventory and transferring items between the warehouse and production.

Responsibilities

• Receive freight trucks full of raw ingredients and materials.
• Inspect and verify freight against Bill of Materials (BOM) and Purchase Orders (POs).
• Communicate verified information to the receiving clerk for inventory updates.
• Stock materials in the warehouse or deliver directly to the production department.
• Operate stand-up forklifts; training provided on the first day.
• Perform basic warehouse duties such as cleaning and recycling waste materials, wraps, and pallets.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic warehouse environment with concrete floors and handling equipment moving throughout the area. Shifts typically consist of 5 days of 8-hour shifts, with the possibility of one weekend day off and two consecutive weekdays off. Employees will primarily use stand-up forklifts, but training will be provided for those with solid sit-down forklift experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PORTLAND, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.40 - $21.40 / hr.
