Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary

Performs a variety of general, mechanical, and preventive maintenance as well as inspections, servicing and overhaul of equipment and facilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting in the departmental plan for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all the facility’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Assists in the maintenance and report of the facility’s buildings and grounds.

Qualifications

Special Skills:

• Ability to read in English to follow oral and/or written instructions.
• Ability to obtain knowledge of boiler systems, water treatment, code restrictions, HVAC equipment and auxiliaries, ., pumps, valves, controls, and computer systems.
• Ability to learn plumbing, painting, carpentry, maintenance and the tools and materials used in the preventive maintenance of the facility. Knowledge of building controls

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Certifications: Boiler Operator Training required or must obtain within 90 days.
