Senior Content Designer, Material Design
Google is seeking a Senior Content Designer for Material Design. This role is available in multiple U.S. locations : New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; and two additional locations.
Overview
As a UX writer, you are an advocate for Google design, shaping product experiences by creating useful, meaningful text that helps users complete tasks. You help set the vision for content and drive cohesive product narratives across multiple platforms and touch points. You work with researchers, product managers, engineers, marketing and customer operations to establish cohesive language and a unified voice across products and platforms. You regularly use empathy, logic and data to inform content choices and recommendations that include the right words and sometimes complementary data and images.
About the job
In this role, you will act as a proactive and enthusiastic writer to help make Material more appealing through clear, engaging content. You will also work across product writing, long-form writing, and creative writing and will be passionate about user experience design, design systems, and making the complex simple. The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products and drives the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions and strengthen existing systems, with a mandate to impact important technical decisions across the company.

This role advocates for cohesive language and a unified voice across products and platforms, using empathy, logic and data to inform content choices and recommendations that may include data and images.

Compensation
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$202,000 plus bonus, equity and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level and location; individual pay within the range is based on location and factors such as skills, experience, and education. The recruiter can share the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Note that compensation details reflect base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
