Can apply for the 90 OR Emergency License - Do Not need the OR at time of submittal Unit ICU # of beds 16 Ratios 1 : 2 Required Certifications ACLS, BLS Common diagnoses / Types of patients Cardiac, Respiratory Experience or 'Must have' skills Acute Care, Critical Care Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes Common titratable & / or set rate drips Levophed, Propfol, Insulin, Dopamine, Neosynephrine, Precedex Charge Nurse / House Supervisor yes, both Are there nurse aids on this unit / Ratios - No Hospitalist or Intensivist in house Yes RT in ICU 24 / 7 Yes RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Yes - all Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? RNs, no MT Shifts & Scheduling 0645-1915 or 1845-0715 Weekend Requirement yes, every other Holiday Requirement 1 major and 1 minor Is there a call or standby requirement? can be placed on call for low census; if placed on call RNs have a 30 minute response time from time of call in to arrival to the unit. Floating Requirements : ONA contract requires contract RNs to float first, but work to ensure that floats are completed in turn. Scrub Color / Dress Code yes -Black, cocoa brown, charcoal grey, navy blue, khaki Unit / Department specific orientation 2 shifts Additional Notes : Meditech EHR
