Process Engineer

The purpose of this newly created position is identification, analysis, assessment, and pursuit of new and current process improvement concepts and technologies. Collaborate and coordinate with other functional areas to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and profitability. Provide process expertise and support for New Product Development efforts. Develop and optimize processes during development of new product grades.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø Identify, define, evaluate through testing, propose, and implement new process technology and process improvements.

Ø Interface with Engineering and Operations in the transfer of demonstrated concepts and equipment to operation. Provide training to plant engineers.

Ø Provide process expertise for product / process runs as required especially if based on new or development designs.

Ø Work with Operations to identify root cause and corrective actions to address product or process issues.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

v Degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering or related field (advanced degree is a plus)

v 5+ years’ experience in carbon black or related field is preferred.

v Ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders, including Operations and New Product Development.

v Ability to travel internationally up to 20%
