Job description

Job Title : Outside Sales Representative Construction Equipment

Location : Holland, MI

Job Type : Full-Time | Field-Based (Multiple counties in the Greater West Michigan Area)

Pay : $60k salary + Commission

Benefits : Company Vehicle and Fuel Card

Overview :

A leading provider of heavy equipment solutions is seeking a motivated and driven Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building new relationships, generating leads, and closing deals in the construction equipment industry.

The successful candidate will focus on increasing market share by actively prospecting new customers, conducting in-person meetings, and providing equipment demonstrations. If youre an independent self-starter with a strong sales background and a passion for construction or heavy machinery, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Actively generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry outreach
  • Identify customer needs and present appropriate equipment solutions, including sales and rentals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and repeat customers to drive long-term business growth
  • Schedule and conduct product demonstrations and site visits with prospective clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized equipment solutions
  • Track all sales activities and customer interactions in CRM software
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies in the industry
  • Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and customer meetings as needed

Qualifications :

  • Proven background in B2B sales, preferably within construction equipment, heavy machinery, or a related field
  • Strong prospecting and cold-calling skills, with a focus on new account acquisition
  • Results-driven attitude with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Valid drivers license with the ability to travel throughout an assigned territory
  • A degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus but not required
