Principal Software Engineer

DescriptionApplied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is actively seeking a highly qualified Principal Software Engineer for software development in the Intelligence communities.

The candidate gives technical direction and guidance to lower-level programmers. Applies advanced knowledge in the areas of engineering, computer science, and information technology for the technical design, development, and implementation of complex programming projects.

Typical assignments are complex and require the use of initiative and independent judgment. Develops solutions unique to client needs.

Can function as Project Leader, which involves interfacing with clients. Possesses sufficient writing skills to prepare and generate technical reports and other documentation pertinent to the position.
