Essential Functions & Qualifications :
A Licensed Therapist diagnoses and treats mental health disorders through counseling. They create personalized treatment plans, assess progress, and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
Empathy, communication skills, and relevant certifications are essential.
Licensed Therapist provide Individual, couples, family, and group therapy are available forms of treatment provided by Licensed Therapists.
Clients can range in age from young children to the elderly. Support and education are provided to the significant others
of the clients as well. Additionally, the licensed therapist will provide crisis intervention as needed. All services are provided in accordance with professional ethics and boundaries.
Licensed Therapists are required to review treatment planning and coordination of care
for patients. Specific treatment interventions are planned and implemented by the therapist, independently.
The Therapist will be responsible for but not limited to :
A Licensed Clinical Therapist conducts assessments, diagnoses mental health disorders, and develops personalized treatment plans for their clients.
They provide counseling, therapy, and support to individuals, families, and groups helping them address and manage their mental health concerns.
Their goal is to improve their clients’ well-being and help them lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.
The Licensed Clinical Therapist will :
- The Licensed Therapist must have the ability to understand and follow directions from supervisors, as well as comply with agency and county directives, state laws, licensing rules and regulations, and certification standards that cover mental health, ADA, and the chronically mentally ill.
- Be able to maintain electronic case records that are in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and other federal and state regulations.
- Licensed Therapist must be able work full-time or part-time hours.
- Provide assessments, treatments, psychotherapy, case management, and referrals to a broad range of clients, including those which are severely mentally ill and those dealing with adjustment issues.
- These services will be provided via telehealth, the homes or in the office.
- Diagnosing and treating mental health disorders.
- Facilitating sessions with individuals, groups, or families.
- Referring clients to specialists if necessary.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS :
The Therapist must be able to demonstrate appropriate training and experience relevant to the setting. This includes but is not limited to :
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C or LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Clear Background Screening.
- Must be licensed in the state of Maryland .
