Maintenance Planner at West Fraser

Responsibilities
- Mill Production and Quality Priorities : Attend regular meetings and take direction from the Maintenance Superintendent regarding planning for short and medium term maintenance priorities.
- CMMS : Develop job plans to include safety steps, PPE required, manpower, parts, tools, estimated hours, best practices, and specifications. Ensure maintenance documentation is stored accessibly. Record history in the CMMS and manage CMMS to WF standards.
- Scheduling : Prepare future work 3-14 days out. Ensure the maintenance team is fully scheduled over 75% of work hours; have 80-90% of all work ready to schedule one week out and at least 50% of the second week ready.
- Reliability : Interface with reliability personnel to keep all reliability routes, standards, and tolerances current.
- Stores / Kitting Parts : Work with stores for kitting of jobs, identify parts and materials, and order non-stock parts for JIT completion.
- Downtime : Review downtime reports daily and participate in RCFA activities to identify and implement solutions to failures.
- Vendors / Contractors : Interact with vendors and outside contractors for maintenance or repair services as needed.
- People & Processes : Plan with trades to develop and optimize PMs, PdM, CMs; be a doer who works side-by-side with mechanical, electrical, and reliability trades. Communicate clearly with maintenance personnel about repetitive problems.
- KPIs : Run planning and CMMS reports and distribute weekly according to KPI definitions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficient with CMMS, Oracle, and MS Word / Excel.Self-starter with high standards; ability to work within a team environment to support plant goals.Excellent communication skills.Minimum knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and reliability fundamentals.Safety leadership; trades certification is a benefit but not mandatory.Trades training exposure to on-site vendor seminars (lubrication, fasteners, hydraulics, PLC, controls, etc.).Benefits
