We are looking for a skilled Controller to support a confidential due diligence project for a company acquisition in Hickory, North Carolina. This contract position requires expertise in financial analysis, auditing, and reporting to ensure the quality and accuracy of financial data during the acquisition process. The role offers a blend of remote work and on-site collaboration during the initial stages.

Responsibilities :

• Develop detailed financial models to support the acquisition process and evaluate deal outcomes.
• Prepare and present pitch decks and financial reports to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Conduct comprehensive audits to assess financial risks and identify potential deal breakers.
• Analyze intercompany transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Review and manage month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Coordinate document control processes, including scanning and organizing files related to the acquisition.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address due diligence requirements and resolve any financial discrepancies.
• Examine the quality of financial information to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
• Utilize Excel and QuickBooks effectively, while working with NetSuite systems used by the acquired company.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and reporting structures.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in conducting due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
• Strong background in financial modeling and analysis.
• Proficiency in audit procedures and identifying financial risks.
• Advanced skills in Excel, QuickBooks, and familiarity with NetSuite.
• Experience managing intercompany accounting and month-end close processes.
• Exceptional organizational skills for handling document control and scanning.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities to effectively convey financial insights to stakeholders.
