Application Engineer - VFDs

About the Role

As an Application Engineer specializing in Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), you will play a critical role in driving the successful implementation, adoption, and technical support of VFD products within the Industrial Automation market-including Machine, Factory, and Process Automation. You'll leverage deep expertise in motor control (PM / IM) to collaborate with sales, product management, R&D, and customers, delivering high-impact solutions and building strong technical relationships.

Your mission is to ensure customer success, expand product usage, and act as the technical authority for the VFD portfolio. This role requires a unique combination of technical skills, commercial acumen, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field (B.S.E.E. preferred).
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in VFDs or motor control applications.
• Hands-on experience with industrial-grade VFDs, AC induction motors, or PM motors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (20-50%).
