Job descriptionSafely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles in full compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Execute assigned regional OTR routes for dry van, no‑touch freight, with frequent drop‑and‑hook operations to meet schedules and delivery requirements. Perform thorough pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections; promptly report defects and maintenance needs. Maintain accurate hours‑of‑service records and electronic logging device (ELD) entries. Follow cargo securement and handling procedures where applicable; adhere to drop‑and‑hook protocols. Communicate professionally and promptly with dispatch, customers, and maintenance personnel. Apply fuel management, routing, and on‑road safety best practices to maximize efficiency and safety. Training pay : $650 during a four‑week in‑cab training period with a trainer. Base pay after training : $0.55 to $0.65 per mile (experience‑dependent). Performance bonus : $0.04 to $0.06 per mile, paid monthly. Typical home time : weekly. Estimated annual compensation : $70,000 to $90,000 (USD), dependent on miles and performance. Late‑model, automatic Freightliner Cascadia tractors, fully equipped. Benefits eligibility after 30 days for life, dental, vision, and health insurance options, plus 401(k).
Minimum qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL (CDL‑A).
- At least 120 hours of truck driving school instruction completed within the past 24 months.
- Ability to meet DOT medical and regulatory requirements and to pass required drug screening.
- Proficiency in English sufficient for safe operation and clear communication.
