• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Schedule includes 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Patient ratio of 6 : 1 on a 20-bed neurological medical / surgical unit
• Contract labor is first to float according to rotation policy
• Work with IV pumps, telemetry, SCD's, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology
• Documentation system : Meditech
• Tech support available on day and night shifts with unit secretary coverage from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM
• Must have active RN license and BLS certification
• Required skills : Med / Surg experience, ability to prioritize care, multitask, start IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care with bedside shift reports and patient / family engagement
