About the role

This role applies advance skills to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center operation! Oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to : Universal Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) systems, and CMMS Work Dispatching.

Responsibilities

Perform daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.

Under close supervision, complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures in accordance with the company's Environment, Health and Safety Policy - ensuring all safety processes and PPE requirements are followed. Also, ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are complete.

Coordinate third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with CBRE's developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws / regulations. Accompany vendors on site visits on an as needed basis, and ensure site standards are met.

Help build and develop work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment. Ensure that CERM documents and logbooks are updated.

What you'll need

High School Diploma / GED required, with 2-4 years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferred.

Knowledge of emergency response / standby / call out activities and protocols. Strong background in either HVAC or Electrical, preferred.

Experience in a financial setting working with billing and payables; prior experience using a financial system; and, the ability to use Microsoft Excel.

The minimum salary for the Data Center Technician position is $93,000 annually [or $39.90 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Data Center Technician position is $101,000 annually [or $48.56 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
